Lock Haven University is a special place. It offers everything you would expect a college to offer: excellent academic programs, qualified professors, and an abundance of social activities. The Haven, though, isn't just any other college. Here at LHU, we take pride in the relationships that students develop with their peers and their professors. We offer cultural learning opportunities both on campus and abroad. We guide our students from the moment they first inquire to the day they cross the stage at graduation. And, we do it all at an affordable cost.

Although I am new to the Lock Haven admission team, I have been impressed by the staff and their sincere commitment to assist students through the college selection process.  I share their passion in helping families as they make this important decision.  I think The Haven is a great place to launch your future!

With over 28 years in higher education administration, I have held many positions in the fields of recruitment, admissions, and enrollment fields. I hold an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Hood College and obtained a graduate degree from the College of Saint Elizabeth in Management with a concentration in Organizational Change Management. 

I currently live in Hackettstown NJ.  My husband, Jerry and I have 3 grown children and keep busy with the newest addition to our family, a one year old rescued Golden Lab named Wylie.

Helping students navigate the college search process is what we do. I am a proud graduate of Lock Haven University, earning both a B.S. in Elementary Education and a B.A. in Spanish.  I hold an M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University.  I have worked at LHU for over 19 years and am passionate about helping students find the college that is the best fit for their needs.  Never hesitate to reach out to me.  I am always happy to be of assistance.

I graduated from LHU in 2007 with a B.S. in Recreation Management. Additionally, I completed my M.Ed. Teaching & Learning in 2011. I’m a 2002 graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola High School, and I chose to attend LHU because it was small (but not too small) and offered the program I was looking for. I attended an open house program with my parents, and I immediately knew that LHU was the right school for me. Visiting the campus really is the best way to learn whether or not you like the university, and I strongly encourage you to schedule a visit.

In addition to working with first-time freshmen, I also work with transfer students. Finding the college that is right for you -or- switching to a different college/university can be overwhelming. Never hesitate to reach out to me directly for help. I look forward to helping you make a smooth transition to LHU.

On a personal note, my wife and I are busy raising our two children and enjoying life. I'm a big fan of Walt Disney World, good movies, great food, and spending time with my family.

Hi everyone! I grew up in the small town of Myerstown, PA located in southcentral Pennsylvania, and graduated from Eastern Lebanon County (ELCO) High School in 2008. I then attended Kutztown University where I received my B.S. in Public Administration and minors in Political Science and Speech Communication in 2012. After graduating, I worked a few odd jobs before landing a position as a recruiter at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Lancaster, PA. I’m excited to now be part of the LHU Admissions Staff and a member of the Haven Family.

As the first in my family to attend post-secondary schooling, I understand the difficulty and confusion that can come with navigating the many options that are available to you. Please reach out to any of us on the LHU Admissions Staff with any questions or concerns you may have regarding the college search and application process. I graduated from Lock Haven University in 2008 with a B.S. in Sports Administration.  I’m also from Lock Haven and proud to call it my hometown.  After graduating in 2008 I lived in New York City and in the suburbs of Philadelphia.  While I treasure my time spent in NYC and suburbia, there’s just nothing like “The Haven.”

LHU is an excellent educational institution full of beautiful scenery, helpful educated faculty and staff, endless activities, and successful Division I and Division II Athletics to cheer on!  I’m so proud to work for Lock Haven University and I can’t wait to hit the road to inform potential students about the wonders and opportunities of attending our university. 

On a personal note, I’m a huge movie buff and fitness enthusiast!  If you’re into the outdoors the Lock Haven area offers many opportunities for hiking, biking, kayaking and other adventurous activities!

Hello! I am one of the Assistant Directors of Admission and proud alumni of LHU! Some of you may see me at college fairs and high schools in Southeastern PA. The college selection process is one that can be tough at times, but I am here to help answer any questions you may have. I encourage all of you to stop by and see what LHU has to offer you for your college experience. LHU is a special place where students develop socially, professionally, and academically. From the great external experiences to build your resume, to the many special events on campus, LHU really has all the resources for students to succeed in every way!

I am originally from Harrisburg, PA, but am now lucky enough to call the beautiful rolling mountains and valleys of Central PA home. The Lock Haven area has a real “hometown” feel and offers much to do with many enriching and entertaining activities going on throughout the year. We invite you to visit campus to truly experience all the Haven has to offer!

I am no stranger to the LHU Office of Admissions, as I previously worked here as a graduate assistant. Upon completing my assistantship, I worked as an admissions counselor at another university and also worked for the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) for a short time. I’m one of the newer staff members to the LHU Admissions Staff and happy to be a part of this amazing team! I’ve held numerous positions in Enrollment Management for over a decade and am currently the out-of-state recruiter so travel heavily in New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and New York. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Keystone College and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Marywood University.

Originally from Northeast Pennsylvania, both my partner and I are new employees of Lock Haven University. We live in a cottage next to Bald Eagle Creek in Mill Hall with our 4-year old pittie, Gusty, and our bob-tail-cat, Jax. I am an avid skier and photographer as well as an outdoor enthusiast! I can’t wait to explore all the recreational activities that this area has to offer!

Being an admissions counselor at Lock Haven University has been an adventure right from the start. After relocating from my hometown in Lackawanna County, I quickly began traveling throughout Clinton County and beyond, to speak to students about the University. This adventure has led to an appreciation of the Pennsylvania landscape that I have never witnessed before and exciting interactions with students eager to learn more about “The Haven.” Having felt the same excitement throughout my college experience, I feel privileged to help students make informed decisions about their futures.

I earned a degree in Communication Arts and Journalism from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Many of my current interests are the direct result of my major. I enjoy reading, writing, blogging, social media, following fashion trends and photography. I believe that a college education leads to personal discoveries that last a lifetime. I am so happy to be able to get the opportunity to help students embark on the journey.

If you are interested in careers in Nursing, Business Management, Management Information Systems, Criminal Justice, Health Care Professions then the Clearfield Campus may be the place for you. As a smaller version of the main campus, the Clearfield Campus has a lot to offer. First, we possess educational opportunities at an affordable cost. Second, we have friendly, student-oriented faculty and staff. Third, the campus has an activities board which provides entertainment and learning opportunities for students. The list could go on and on, but you must take the next step to see for yourself.

If you are a student who is exploring his or her options, we are a great place to begin higher education! Check out the Clearfield Campus website to learn more about the campus. The Clearfield Campus also offers select Bachelor Degrees in Business Administration with concentrations in either Management or Management Information Systems and an RN to BSN completion program. Students at the Clearfield Campus range in age from eighteen to fifty and beyond! If a degree close to home is in your future, come and check us out!

On the personal side, I am a 1998 graduate of Lock Haven University with a BA in Journalism/Mass Communications and a 2005 graduate of Indiana University of PA with an MA in Student Affairs in Higher Education. I live locally in Clearfield, PA with my husband, Greg and my son Luke. I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA where I graduated from Mount Alvernia High School. I have worked at LHU Clearfield Campus since 1999.

I would like to assist you with your higher education plans, or at least help you learn more about the process and your options. I have worked in the Admissions Office at LHU for over 20 years and thoroughly enjoy my job. My main role consists of overseeing the smooth running of the office. 

We are very proud of our university and our community. Lock Haven is my hometown. My husband and I chose to raise our three daughters here. I am proud to say that my daughters, Danielle, Megan and Lauren, are all LHU graduates.

Clinton County is a wonderful place for outdoor activities and I enjoy spending time on the Susquehanna River, horseback riding or biking in the mountains and just being a part of this friendly community. I am proud to be a part of the Admissions team here at Lock Haven University.  I was born and raised in Curwensville, PA and graduated from Curwensville Area High School. I have one son, Matthew, who served in the United States Marine Corps and a 4 pound Chihuahua/Toy Fox Terrier named Little Buck.

I received my Associate’s Degree from Newport Business Institute, completing my internship in the Student Financial Services department here at Lock Haven University. I have lived in the Lock Haven area since 1983 and never really knew all that Lock Haven University had to offer until doing my internship on campus. Working here in the Admissions Office has made me want to continue my education. I am currently taking classes and working towards my Bachelor’s degree majoring in Accounting and Business Administration.

We are centrally located with access to major highways. I hope you will let our team show you the many things that Lock Haven University has to offer. We welcome your visit and look forward to meeting you.

Born and raised in the Reading/Allentown area, I attended Lock Haven University for my undergraduate education. I graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. After graduation, I worked in the field for several years before transitioning to a privately owned small business in Lock Haven. I am excited to have returned to The Haven to work in the Admissions Office! I live locally with my husband and small children. Being a wife and mother has brought me amazing joy and I relish the chance to share that joy of life with other people.

I chose LHU initially because of the personal attention and endless possibilities available to me. I love the idea of being able to provide that feeling for others as they go through the college search.  Don’t hesitate to contact the Admissions Office for a tour or meeting with a counselor!

I grew up in Lock Haven and live locally with my husband and two sons.  I graduated from Lock Haven Jr./Sr. High School in 1995 and received my Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 1997.  Helping people is my passion.  Up until this time I have spent my career working in customer service or an office setting.  

I never knew what Lock Haven University had to offer until two years ago when I found myself working in the Office of Admissions in a temporary capacity.  I hoped that when my time came to an end, that I would someday have another opportunity to rejoin this team here at The Haven, and here I am.  Although I am the newest member to the team, and still learning, I am more than willing to assist you with any questions that you may have.  If I don’t have the answers I will be happy to find someone who does.  The staff at The Haven are welcoming and eager to help you make the decision that is best for you.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions or schedule a visit to see firsthand what The Haven has to offer.   I wish you nothing but the best of luck in your search for the perfect place for you to start your future!
