Important Incoming Student Information
Starting the Semester:
Much of the information needed to get your semester started is available at myHaven by selecting the Registrar tab. This information does not require a login. Registration information is available here under Registration Information. You will find registration instructions, links to the schedule of classes, etc.
The academic calendar is available on myHaven under Academic/Catalog Information or Registration Information. The calendar provides important deadlines related to the last day to add, last day to drop, etc. Plan ahead....if you need faculty permission or signatures to make schedule changes, do not wait until the deadline as sometimes it is difficult to find a mutually available time for discussion. Extensions to deadlines may not be granted.
Complete the following steps:
1. Review Your Schedule-
It is very important that you review your schedule. Your schedule is available on myHaven and requires you to log in. While it is recommended that you wait to purchase textbooks and supplies until after you meet your first class, if you do purchase them ahead of time, make sure you understand the vendor's return and refund policies and procedures Check course numbers, sections, meeting days and times, and locations to be sure you report to the correct class. You may drop and add classes or sections as needed after discussing with your academic adviser.
2. Academic Adviser-
Your academic adviser is available on your myHaven account under the Student tab. Remember to make contact with your adviser to discuss your schedule.
3. Verification of Enrollment-
If you need to verify your enrollment for insurance coverage, deferments, or other reasons, simply use the self-service process. After logging into myHaven, choose National Student Clearinghouse and follow the prompts. More detailed information can be found under the Forms section of the Registrar tab on myHaven.
