English Club

Welcome to the home page of Lock Haven University's English Club.  The English Club is open to any student at Lock Haven who is interested in literature or writing--you do not have to be an English major!

The club meets about once every two weeks and after a brief business meeting, we read poetry and prose, either our own or that of a favorite author.  We also get together during the semester for parties and trips to places that have literary significance.  Recently we have been to New York City, San Francisco, and Boston.

Many English Club members belong to Sigma Tau Delta, a national honor society for English students.  Sigma Tau Delta membership is not necessary to be part of the English Club.

On this site you can access our newsletters, the club's constitution, the treasurer's report, and the minutes of our business meetings.  You can also see pictures from the following club events:

There is also a page of links for English majors, including information on career opportunities and how to get your fiction and poetry published.
