Jennifer M. Creamer
Dean
Institute for International Studies

Jennifer Creamer comes to Lock Haven University from Moravian College, in Bethlehem PA where she was the Director of International Studies from 2003-2008.  She received her Bachelor degree in Anthropology and East Asian Studies in 1986 from Colby College, in Waterville, ME.  Dr. Creamer earned her Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2004.
 

Mary W. White
Director
Marketing and Communications

Mary White comes to Lock Haven University from the University of West Georgia where she was the Director of Advancement Programs and Governmental Relations from 2005-2008.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Queens College of the City University of New York.  She has earned a Masters degree in English Education from Hofstra University and a Masters degree in English from Bucknell University.
 

Bill T. Hanelly
Vice President
Finance, Administration and Technology

Mr. Hannelly comes to LHU from C-Cor Incorporated of State College, a global provider of network technology to the cable industry, where he served as Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Treasurer from 2001 to the present and as Vice President of Finance, Secretary and Treasurer from 1998 to 2001.  Prior to C-Cor, he was the Vice-President for Finance and Administration at HRB Systems Inc. in State College (now Raytheon) from 1994 to 1998.  From 1979 to 1994, Mr. Hanelly held various administrative and management positions with government contractors located in the northern Virginia area.  Hanelly received a Master of Business Administration from George Mason University in 1985 and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Georgetown University in 1978.
 

Carlos R. Morales
Executive Director
eCampus and Learning Technologies
 

Dr. Morales comes to LHU from New Jersey City University’s Center for Instructional and Technological Innovation, Jersey City, N.J., where he served as Instructional Designer.  In his role there, he directed operations of the instructional technologies staff as it provided faculty development and support of instructional technology applications in the classroom and for online learning. He also has extensive online and classroom teaching experience in the areas of Biology, Science Teaching and Instructional Technology. Dr. Morales has been adjunct faculty for the Biology departments of New Jersey City University, Thomas Edison State College, Ocean County College and Seminole Community College. He has served as adjunct faculty for the Educational Technology departments of New Jersey City University and Grand Canyon University. Prior to that, Dr. Morales was Professor of Biology at EDP College of Puerto Rico, Professor of Biology/Education at Metropolitan University, Puerto Rico, and Assistant Professor of Biology at Colegio Tecnológico y Comercial de Puerto Rico.  Morales received a Doctor of Philosophy in Education with an emphasis in Instructional Design for Online Learning from Capella University in 2007. He received a Master of the Arts in Education for science teaching from Inter American University of Puerto Rico in 1997, where he also received a Bachelor of Science for biology/microbiology in 1994.

David L. White
Dean
College
of Arts and Science
 

Dr. David L. White will serve as dean of the College of Arts and Science, coming to LHU from the University of West Georgia where he was the assistant to the vice president for Academic Affairs in 2007 and held the position of dean of the College of Arts and Sciences from 2005 to 2007. He was a professor at Appalachian State University from 2004 to 2005 and was that university’s Department of Geology acting chair from 2002 to 2004. From 2001 to 2002, he was the associate dean of the Department of Social Sciences at Roger Williams University. He was granted the I.G. Greer Distinguished Professor of History at Appalachian State University from 1993 to 1995, where he also served as a full professor from 1992 to 2001, associate professor from 1986 to 1991, assistant professor from 1979 to 1986 and instructor from 1977 to 1979.

White received his Bachelor of Arts in History at Bucknell University in 1972 and his Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Virginia in 1979.
 

Michael McSkimming

Department of Criminal Justice

Michael McSkimming, comes to Lock Haven University from Gannon University where he was as Assistant Professor in the Criminal Justice program from 2000-2007.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Niagara University in 1989 and his Masters degree in Criminology from Indiana University of PA in 1991. Dr. McSkimming earned his Ph.D. in Criminology from Indiana University of PA in 1996.
 

Steven Granich
Assistant Professor
Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work and Geography

Steve Granich, comes to Lock Haven University from New Horizons where he has been a Social Worker from 1989-2007.  He received his Bachelors degree from Rutgers College in 1972 and his Masters in Social Work from the University of Georgia in 1976.  Dr. Granich earned his Doctor of Social Work from the University of Alabama in 1985.


 

E. Brooke Harlowe
Associate Professor
History, Political Science and Economics

E. Brooke Harlowe, comes to Lock Haven University from The College of St. Catherine where she has been an Associate Professor and Chair in Political Science since 2000.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Latin American Studies and History from the University of Arizona in 1983.  Dr. Harlowe earned her Ph.D in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 1993 along with a graduate certificate in Latin American Studies. 

 

Muhammad Aslam

Muhammad Aslam, PhD, comes to Lock Haven University from Bloomsburg University of PA where he has been an Instructor since 2006He received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Pakistan 1991.  Dr. Aslam earned his Master of Philosophy in Mathematics in 1995 from the Bahauddin Zakariya University in Pakistan, continuing on to get his PhD in Applied Mathematics from West Virginia University in 2006.
 

Alyce Baker-Putt

Alyce Baker-Putt, comes to Lock Haven University from Indiana University of PA and Pennsylvania State University where she has been a Teaching Associate and Adjunct Professor respectfully since 2004.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts from Shippensburg University of PA in 2000.  Ms. Baker-Putt earned her Master of Education in 2002 from Penn State University. She continues to work towards her PhD in Literature and Criticism at Indiana University of PA. 

 

Loretta Dickson

Department of Geology & Physics

Loretta Dickson, PhD, comes to Lock Haven University from Eastern Connecticut State University where she has been an Adjunct Faculty since 2001.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Geology from California State University, Stanislaus 1995.  Dr. Dickson earned her Master of Science in Geological Science in 1997 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas continuing on to get her PhD in Geological Science from the University of Connecticut in 2006.
 

Randall Hartman

Randall Hartman, JD, comes to Lock Haven University from Methodist University where he has been a Professor of Accounting and Business Law since 1997.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Shippensburg University of PA in 1974.  Mr. Hartman earned his Master of Business Administration in 1981 from Shippensburg University of PA, continuing on to get his JD from Widener University School of Law in 1993.
 

Marlene Jensen

Marlene Jensen, DBA, comes to Lock Haven University from Newsletter Group Consultants where she has been the CEO since 1991.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University in 1972.  Dr. Jensen earned her Master of Business Administration in 1982 from Fordham University, continuing on to get her Doctorate of Business Administration from Argosy University in 2007.

 

Richard Mikula

Richard Mikula, PhD, comes to Lock Haven University from William Paterson University where he has been an Assistant Professor since 2006.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Temple University in 1998.  Dr. Mikula earned his PhD in Mathematics from Rutgers University in 2006.


 

Andrew Musila

Andrew Musila, PhD, comes to Lock Haven University from a Monmouth College and a temporary position at LHU where he has been an Assistant Professor since 2004 and 2003 respectfully.  He received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication and International Comparative Politics from Slippery Rock University in 1991.  Dr. Musila earned his Master of Arts in Public Affairs from Indiana University of PA, continuing on to get his PhD in African Studies from Howard University in 2004.
 

Krish Pillai

Krish Pillai, PhD, comes to Lock Haven University from Pennsylvania College of Technology and Nortel Networks where he has been an Assistant Professor and Technical Advisor since 2006 and 1997 respectfully.  He received his bachelor degree from the University of Kerala, India in 1986.  Dr. Pillai earned his Master of Science in Computer Engineering in 1993 from Southern Methodist University, Texas, continuing on to get his PhD from Southern Methodist University in Software Engineering in 1998.
 

Dale Young

Department of Performing Arts
 
Dale Young, PhD, comes to Lock Haven University from The Guidance Center of Flagstaff, Arizona where he was a case manager in 2006 and from Bowling Green State University where he was an instructor in 2005.  He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from DePaul University in 1989.  Dr. Young earned his Master of Arts in Expressive Therapies in 2000 from Lesley University, continuing on to get his PhD in Theatre from Bowling Green State University in 2005.

Tom Ormond
Dean
College of Education and Human Services

Dr. Thomas C. Ormond will serve as LHU’s dean of the College of Education and Human Services, coming to Lock Haven from Sonoma State University in California where he was the director of Academic Planning and Resources for the School of Science and Technology from 2006 to 2007. Other roles at Sonoma State University include chair of the Department of Kinesiology from 1999 to 2007, chair of the School of Science and Technology Curriculum Committee from 2006 to 2007, full professor of Physical Education from 2001 to 2007 and associate professor of Physical Education from 1997 to 2001. He was chair of the Department of Health Promotion and Human Movement and full professor at Ithaca College from 1995 to 1997, was an associate professor there from 1994 to 1997 and was an assistant professor there from 1988 to 1993.

Ormond received his Bachelor of Education at Massey University, New Zealand in 1979, his Master of Science in Physical Education at Indiana University in 1985 and his Doctor of Philosophy from The Ohio State University in 1988.
 
Brett Everhart

Department of Health and Physical Education

Brett Everhart, comes to Lock Haven University from Chalk and Wire Learning Assessment where he was the Director of Research and Publishing from 2006-2007 after serving on the faculty at Appalachian State University, the University of Texas at Arlington, and Anderson College.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1986 and his Masters degree in Adapted Physical Education from Pennsylvania State University in 1991.  Dr. Everhart earned his Ed.D. in Physical Education/Teacher Education from West Virginia University in 1994.
 

Kimberly Batty

Kimberly Batty, comes to Lock Haven University from California State University where she has been an Instructor since 2001.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Parks and Recreation from Penn State University in 1988.  Ms. Batty earned her Masters degree in Leisure Studies in 1996 from Penn State University, continuing to work towards her PhD in Work Force Education at Penn State University.

 
Stephen Bugaj

Department of Special Education & Early Childhood Education

Stephen Bugaj, DEd, comes to Lock Haven University from Cameron County School District where he has been a Superintendent of Schools since 2001.  He received his Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Mansfield State College 1969.  Dr. Bugaj earned his Master of Science in Special Education in 1977 from Penn State University, continuing on to get his DEd from Penn State University in 1993.

 
Pamela Czapla

Pamela Czapla, PhD, comes to Lock Haven University from a temporary position at LHU where she has been an Assistant Professor/Interim Director since 2007.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Wayne State University in 1970.  Dr. Czapla earned her Master of Library Science in 1971 from Wayne State University, continuing on to get her PhD in Speech Communication from Penn State University in 1992.

 
Steven Harris

Steven Harris, MHS PA-C, comes to Lock Haven University from Central Utah Clinic, Utah where he has been a Cardiovascular Physician Assistant since 2003.  He received his Bachelor of Arts in Language and Philosophy from Utah State University in 1999.  Mr. Harris earned his Master of Health Science in 2003 from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.


 

Jody Preische

Department of Health Science

Jody Preische, initially came to Lock Haven University where she has been an Instructor / Assistant Athletic Trainer since 2004She received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Salisbury University, Maryland in 1995.  Ms. Preische earned her Master of Health and Physical Education in 1997 from Valdosta State University, Georgia, continuing on to get her PhD in Kinesiology from Penn State University in 2007.

 

Lisa Weaver
Assistant Professor
Department of Academic Development and Counseling

Lisa Weaver, PhD, comes to Lock Haven University from Skills of Central PA, Inc. where she has been a Director of Quality Improvement and Training since 2006.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Penn State University in 1985.  Dr. Weaver earned her Master of Counselor Education in 1989 from Penn State University, continuing on to get her PhD in Higher Education from Penn State University in 2006.
