| The Position: |
The University invites applications for a
full-time, tenure-track faculty position in
Nursing to begin August 29, 2009.
A terminal degree is required for tenure
track appointment. Salary is
competitive and commensurate with
qualifications and experience.
If a candidate without an appropriate
terminal degree is selected, the position
will be temporary for one year and
appointment level will be Instructor step 1
or 2 ($41,817.82 - $43,098.71).

| Responsibilities: |
Assist in the implementation of the newly
developed RN to BSN program and serve as a
faculty member in the nursing department
working with ASN and BSN students; |

Serve on department, college and university
committees, as appropriate; |

Ø |
Work in a team oriented environment. |

Ø |
Successful candidate will be expected to
engage in a line of scholarly activity. |
| Qualifications: |
A PhD in
nursing, or related area, is required, and
current RN licensure. Previous
teaching experience including
on-line/distance education course format.
Note: Faculty will be required to obtain
e-College certification.
Clinical experience required.
In
addition to the qualifications listed above,
the successful candidate must be able to
communicate well and/or perform well in an
interview or teaching demonstration.
The successful candidate will also have to
complete a background investigation as a
condition of employment. |
