Department:  Physician Assistant Studies
The Position: The University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position in its fully accredited masters level Physician Assistant Program to begin January 2010.  Salary is competitive and commensurate with education and experience.        
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include:

During the Spring 2010 semester, faculty members will complete their job responsibilities on the Lock Haven Campus, with some responsibilities in Coudersport, PA., and be involved in team teaching within the modularly based curriculum;

Successful candidate will assist the Program Director in planning and coordinating campus expansion to a new location at the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport PA;

Classroom teaching in a distance education environment at the  Charles Cole Memorial Hospital;
Assist the clinical coordinator in the development and maintenance of clinical sites;
Assist the didactic coordinator in curriculum development in dynamic, technologically enhanced environment;
Student advising both first and second year PA students;
Site visitations of second year PA students;
Facilitation of small group discussion sessions and physical diagnosis labs;
Mentoring students during the community health outreach program during the didactic year.
Qualifications: Masters degree in a field related to physician assistant practice or the education of physician assistant students and current NCCPA certification and eligibility to practice within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

The successful candidate must be able to communicate well and/or perform well in an interview or teaching demonstration.  The successful candidate will also have to complete a background investigation as a condition of employment.
