Deborah Erickson
Provost and Vice President for Academic
Affairs
Deborah Erickson comes to Lock Haven
University from Mansfield University of
Pennsylvania where she was Associate
Provost. Deborah has been a professor
of psychology and counseling and has held
various administrative and management
positions at Niagara University, NY, Sydney
University in Australia, the University of
Rochester, NY and MU. She received her
Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and
Music at Houghton College, a Master of Arts
degree in School Psychology at Alfred
University, a Doctorate of Education in
Counselor Education at the University of
Arkansas and a Doctorate of Philosophy in
Psychology at the University of Sydney.

Teresa Williams
Dean of the Clearfield Branch Campus
Teresa Williams comes to Lock Haven
University from the University of Richmond
where she was an Associate Dean from
2001-2009. She received her Bachelor
of Arts degree in Political Science from
Washington University in St. Louis in 1992
and her Masters degree in Multicultural
Education from Webster University in 1994.
Dr. Williams earned her Ph.D. in Higher
Education Administration and Educational
Leadership from Saint Louis University in
1999. |

Laura Bird
Associate Professor
Performing Arts (Theatre)
Laura Bird comes to Lock Haven University
from Concordia University, Ann Arbor, where
she was a professor of Theatre from
1991-2008. She received her Bachelor
of Science degree, major in theatre and
minor in Anthropology in 1987 and her
Masters degree in Theatre Arts from Eastern
Michigan University in 1990. Dr. Bird
earned her Ph.D. in Theatre History from
Michigan State University in 1999.

Edward
Bowman
Assistant Professor
Criminal Justice
Edward Bowman comes to Lock Haven University
from Blue Ridge Juvenile Detention in
Charlottesville, VA where he was the Program
Coordinator from 2005-2008. He
received his Bachelor of Science degree in
Philosophy and Psychology from James Madison
University in 1988 and two Master degrees; a
Master of Science in Administration of
Justice from Virginia Commonwealth
University in 1998 and a Master of Education
in Social Foundations from the University of
Virginia in 2008. Dr. Bowman earned his
Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration
from Virginia Commonwealth University in
2009.

Damarys Lopez
Assistant Professor
Foreign Languages
Damarys Lopez initially came to Lock Haven
University where she has been an
Instructor/Assistant Professor in Foreign
Languages since 1998. She received
her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish
Studies from the University of Puerto Rico
in 1986 and her Masters in Spanish
Literature from The Pennsylvania State
University in 1995. Ms. Lopez is expected
to receive her Ph.D. in Contemporary Spanish
Literature from the Pennsylvania State
University in May 2010.

Indrajith Senevirathne
Assistant Professor
Geology and Physics
Indrajith Senevirathne came to Lock Haven
University in 2008, where he has been
an Assistant Professor of Physics in Geology
and Physics. He received his Bachelor
of Science degree in Physics from the
University of Sri Jayawardenepura, Sri Lanka
in 2000. Dr. Senevirathne earned his Ph.D.
in Physics from Louisiana State University
in 2008.
