Geography, B.S.

PLACED INTO MORATORIUM 11/2007; NO NEW STUDENTS ACCEPTED

The objective of the geography major is to show how geography is an integrating science with a distinctive concern about the interplay between physical and human environments.  The interdisciplinary nature of geography allows the student to prepare intellectually for a wide variety of careers.  Geographers are employed as environmental researchers, cartographers, urban planners, location analysts, university professors, and as geographic research specialists for local, national, and international agencies.

Students are encouraged to participate in international educational exchanges.  Students thereby have the opportunity to study geography in several natural and cultural environments while fulfilling major requirements.
