Paralegal Studies, BS (or Certificate)
(Program placed in moratorium May 2006.)

Both a bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies and a certificate as a paralegal are offered.  A person may get both or either one but the bachelor's degree alone will not prepare a student for work as a paralegal and the college will not award the certificate except to persons who have a bachelor's degree or who are earning a bachelor's degree contemporaneously with the certificate.  Paralegals perform significant legal work under the direction of an attorney.  An internship is required and students must maintain a 3.0 grade point average to be awarded the certificate.
