There will be a planned D2L maintenance window the 4th Sunday of every month from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. EST. For this summer this will be May 23, June 27, and July 25.
Desire2Learn Upgrade Our Desire2Learn system will be unavailable on Monday, July 5, 2010, from 8 a.m. until approximately 4 p.m., as it is being upgraded to version 9.0. Changes in the new version are primarily on the administrative side, and will have very little impact on the look of things from the user side.
Desire2Learn Community Site Upgrade The Desire2Learn Community site will be upgrading to Learning Environment 9.0 on Friday, April 30th from 8am-4pm. The Community site, including the self-paced instructor courses, will not be available during this time. Any users attempting to access the site will receive a maintenance message. The self-paced courses themselves will not be changing. Please note that this is not our LHU Desire2Learn production site, this is the Community site at https://community.desire2learn.com/index.asp where the self-paced training is located. If you have not yet signed up for the self-paced D2L training, you will find instructions on how to do so here.
New eCampus Login Step eCollege has enabled a secure login for our eCampus at http://www.lhup.net. This Secure Socket Layer (SSL) will encrypt your login information as it is passed from your browser to the servers at eCollege, ensuring the security of the login process. When you go to http://www.lhup.net you will now notice that the login box is no longer at the top left of that welcome page. It will now be necessary for you to click the “Login” link at the top of the page. After clicking on “Login” you will notice that the URL changes from http to https. You will then log in at the center of the page.
Call for Proposals - Academic Technology Equipment The Academic Technology Advisory Committee (ATAC) requests proposals from departments for the use of the Academic Technology Fee. Proposals must be for technological equipment for student use. The deadline for proposals for this year is February 1st. Please include a description of the item/project, the reason it is needed, and the cost. Thanks, ATAC Committee
Student Laptop Info Session The Student Technology Support Center will be offering an Information Session about signing onto the campus network, Cisco Clean Access and McAfee Antivirus. The session will be held January 13th in Ulmer Planetarium at 6:00pm.
