  • Official SAT/ACT scores (if fewer than 12 tranferable credits have been earned)
  • Official transcripts for all colleges/universities attended

Students applying for transfer may apply one year prior to the intended enrollment semester. However, applications are only reviewed one semester in advance of intended enrollment semester. Any student who has enrolled at a post-secondary institution is considered to be a transfer student. This includes students who hold a degree.

Students are required to provide accurate data when applying for admission. We reserve the right to revoke an offer of admission should it be made known to us that an application includes falsified information.

Visit the transfer web page to learn more about transferring to LHU.

International Students
Application materials and all accompanying documents must be received at least six months prior to the intended enrollment date. Applicants may apply for admission to either the fall semester (begins late-August) or the spring semester (begins mid-January). Late applicants will automatically be deferred to the following semester.

Please visit the following link to review the application instructions for international students.

Music & Art Applicants
Applicants planning to major in music will be notified to schedule a pre-admission interview with the head of the department. Students planning to major in art and receive a B.F.A. degree must complete a pre-admission portfolio. Students planning to receive a B.A. in art are not required to submit a portfolio.

Clearfield Campus Applicants
All Clearfield Campus applicants should forward application materials to:

Nursing Applicants
The nursing program is currently only offered at the Clearfield Campus. Information on the Nursing program is available on the Clearfield Campus website.

To apply to the Nursing Program, complete the application form following the instructions provided above for Clearfield applicants. The nursing program has a limited number of spaces and only accepts applicants for the fall semester. Applications are reviewed and considered on a rolling basis until all spaces have been filled. Currently, the program is able to accept 50 students per year.

Prerequisites for consideration to the Nursing Program include completion of a high school or college course in biology, chemistry (including lab experience in both) and algebra with a "C" or higher. In addition to the above, transfer students must have a 2.7 or higher cumulative grade point average. Review nursing program admission requirements online.

The most qualified applicants are notified to schedule a pre-admission interview with the Nursing Department. From this group, approximately 50 candidates are chosen for admission to the fall nursing class. Nursing students are not admitted to the spring semester.

Applying for Spring Semester Admission (excludes nursing students)
Applicants applying for the spring semester, which begins in mid-January, should follow the instructions previously given. Applications are reviewed beginning October 1 and should be received no later than December 1 to allow ample time for processing and review.

Applicants are encouraged to visit our scenic campus. Appointments may be scheduled by telephoning toll-free 1-800-332-8900 or 570-484-2027. You may also schedule a visit online.
