What school documentation do I need to submit?
An official transcript of all secondary level course work from a certified home school accreditation agency (samples of completed course work are also recommended). OR, an official GED report from the PA Department of Education and samples of all secondary level course work completed. Official transcripts of any college work completed.

What are the minimum academic requirements for admission?
- Three years or more of academic, algebra based Math*.
- Three years or more of academic Science*, with at least 2 lab courses.
- Four years of academic English.
- Three years of academic Social Sciences.
- SAT I or ACT scores which reflect an aptitude to successfully complete college level work.

Are home schooled students held to a different academic standard?
No, the requirements above pertain to all applicants.

Do you consider civic/church/volunteer activities and involvements?
Yes, as many home schoolers are extremely involved in these types of experiential learning, we recognize the educational, developmental and social benefits home school students derive from these activities.

Are home school students eligible for your merit based freshman scholarships?
Yes. However, since class rank (along with SAT scores) is part of the equation, you are encouraged to discuss eligibility during your personal interview.

Will I have a roommate?
Yes. The residence hall rooms are designed for double occupancy. Students wishing to room together must each submit a letter to the Housing Office. Students who do not have a specific roommate request will be mailed a roommate compatibility sheet in early May.

Do you have a modern library?
Stevenson Library is undergoing a physical renovation as you are reading this. With more than 350,000 volumes, an in-house computer facility and children's library, we are not surprised that LHU's library is used more than any other state system library.

Are there computers on campus for students to use?
Yes. There are seven main computer labs on campus. In addition, each of our seven residence halls house a small computer lab for use by building residents.

How is the food at LHU?
Bentley Dining Hall offers a great selection of choices. The upstairs dining area, the Upper Deck, is “all you can eat”, while the downstairs dining area, the Eagle Rock Cafe, is an “a la carte” food court. Students choosing to dine upstairs have great choices such as grill items, fresh pasta, pizza, deli, salad bar, dessert cart and much more! The Eagle Rock Cafe includes many of hte same options as well as a Quiznos, Freshens and coming soon, a Starbucks!

Can I have a car on campus?
Students must have 48 earned credits to receive a parking permit from the Public Safety Office
