Michael Hall
Assistant Director of Admissions

Thank you for taking a minute to check out what we have to offer at “The Haven.” My name is Michael Hall, and I am an Assistant Director of Admissions at Lock Haven University. I spend several months traveling to speak with high school students about the many opportunities that are available at “The Haven.” My primary focus is working with students from western and southcentral Pennsylvania. During the travel season, I visit schools and attend college fairs throughout these areas. I enjoy spending time on the road speaking with students who are excited about starting their journey into college.

I am a May 2007 graduate of Lock Haven University. I graduated with a B.S. in Recreation Management. Students who major in Recreation Management prepare for careers in state parks, camp administration, event planning, fitness centers, and rehabilitation facilities. As a student, I also worked as a Resident Assistant and helped students adjust to living, learning, and playing in a new environment.

Soon after graduation, I worked some part-time jobs until I could find something that I wanted to do. I started working in the Office of Admissions at “The Haven” in September 2007. After diving in and learning the ropes, I realized how much I enjoy working with high school students and lending a helping hand in the college search process. As I can recall…the search process is often exhausting, confusing, and stressful.

On a more personal level, I graduated from Philipsburg-Osceola High School in 2002. Philipsburg is a small town located in central Pennsylvania. Some of my favorite activities include playing the guitar, fishing, canoeing, and spending time with friends. I am getting married in April 2008, and I’m enjoying life.
