Hi, I'm Liza Nicholson and I'm one of the Assistant Director’s of Admissions here at "The Haven." I spend most of the fall traveling throughout northern New Jersey but I work with any prospective students that are not from Pennsylvania. You may see me at your high school or at a local college fair promoting this great school. I had such a great experience attending LHU so I am extremely excited about talking with each of you about the amazing opportunities we have to offer. If you are a high school student in my territory, I would love to have the opportunity to meet you. Please check with your guidance office to see when I may be visiting your high school.

I am originally from a small town in north western Pennsylvania called Kane (McKean County).  I graduated from Kane Area High School in 2004 and recently became a graduate of Lock Haven University in May 2008. I received a degree in Communication Media concentrating in Broadcast Journalism, Public Relations and Advertising.

During my time at "The Haven" I was involved with the university's television show, LHU in Review.  I held many positions including Sports Anchor and also Executive Producer of the show.  During my downtime between classes, I was employed as a Student Secretary in the President's office All of these experiences helped me to gain valuable information and really helped to boost my resume.  I am grateful for these opportunities provided to me by Lock Haven University. 

On a personal note, I got engaged in July 2008 to my boyfriend, Tony, while visiting family out in California and we are busy planning a summer 2010 wedding.
