Online Graduate Application Instructions

The online application is available only for Master of Education and Master of Liberal Arts Candidates. Master of Health Science: Physician Assistant Candidates must utilize the Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA).

The following information will assist LHU graduate candidates in successfully and efficiently completing the online graduate application.

Opening Screen

  • Master of Education Candidates must select the “Online Degree” option under the Mode Heading.
  • Master of Liberal Arts Candidates must select the “Traditional Degree” option under the Mode Heading.
  • Master of Health Science: Physician Assistant Candidates do not use this application. The Physician Assistant program uses the Centralized Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA) available at: https://secure.caspaonline.org/

Profile Information

International Students Take Note: The Master of Education Program at Lock Haven University is completely online. For International Students, acceptance to the M.Ed. program does not qualify them for the I-20 because all requirements can be met online from the home country.

Enrollment Information

  • Graduate Students can enroll only for the fall, spring, or summer 1 session.
  • MED candidates should select off campus housing.
  • MLA candidates can choice either on or off campus housing.
  • Graduate candidates must select the main campus location.

Save Partial Application prior to entering the Education Section of the application.

Education Section

  • Do not include High School Information
  • Enter information about any undergraduate or graduate institutions you attended prior to applying at LHU.
  • When adding school information, carefully follow the instructions written in red.
  • Do not submit information about extracurricular activities.

After completing the education section, save partial application and then select “Next Section”. You will be asked to certify that the information you provided was correct. Upon certifying that your information is correct, an electronic payment window will appear. You will need to disable any pop-up blockers to enable the electronic payment form to open.

At this time you will be asked to pay a $25 non-refundable application fee. Your credit card, billing, and contact information will be requested. Once the form is complete select “Submit Payment”. You will receive a confirmation notice stating that your application has been successfully submitted.
