Lock Haven University requires the following for admission as an International Student:

Academic Transcripts:
A certified (official) copy of all educational credentials (transcripts) from any secondary or post secondary institutions must be submitted. A certified literal translation must be submitted with all documents.

TOEFL:
All non-native speakers of English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) administered by the Education Testing Service. A minimum score of 213 (computer-based), 79-80 (internet-based) or 550 (paper-based) is required for admission to Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.

Educational Credential Evaluation:
All students who apply for admission to Lock Haven University with transcripts from a foreign secondary or post-secondary educational institution will now be required to submit an official educational credential evaluation.  We recommend the company World Education Services, Inc. (WES) for this service. 

Financial Support Statement:
The LHU Financial Support Statement (FSS) must be completed and approved for admission to Lock Haven University.

Student Medical History Report:
All students must submit a completed medical history report for approval prior to enrollment to Lock Haven University. The medical history report may be downloaded from the International Application page.

When to Apply

Application materials, TOEFL test scores, Financial Support Statements must be received at least six months prior to the intended enrollment date.

How to Apply

To apply for admission, submit the following documents:

  1. $25.00 (twenty five dollars U.S.) processing fee for an online application (this fee cannot be waived).
  2. Student Application for Admission (Application Online)
  3. Official TOEFL test scores – forwarded directly to LHU from the ETS (Educational Testing Service)
  4. Completed Educational Credential Evaluation from WES
  5. Completed Financial Support Statement
  6. Completed Students Medical History Report
