receptionist assistant
Responsibilities and duties will include, but not be limited to:
- giving campus tours
- answering the Admissions telephone lines and the LHU main information line
- transferring calls to appropriate extensions
- welcoming & greeting guests and visitors to campus
- maintaining refreshments for visitors
- being prepared to answer and respond to questions from callers, walk-in visitors and prospective students and their parents
- entering data into various Microsoft programs as well as the CARS database
- assist the receptionist with the operation of the office reception area
- assisting in the preparation of office mailings
- running campus errands
- assembling various visitor information packets
Receptionist assistants average 6-8 hours a week depending on schedule. Students in this position, even more so than others, must arrive to work dressed professionally. Other general office duties may also be assigned.
