receptionist assistant

Responsibilities and duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • giving campus tours
  • answering the Admissions telephone lines and the LHU main information line
  • transferring calls to appropriate extensions
  • welcoming & greeting guests and visitors to campus
  • maintaining refreshments for visitors
  • being prepared to answer and respond to questions from callers, walk-in visitors and prospective students and their parents
  • entering data into various Microsoft programs as well as the CARS database
  • assist the receptionist with the operation of the office reception area
  • assisting in the preparation of office mailings
  • running campus errands
  • assembling various visitor information packets

Receptionist assistants average 6-8 hours a week depending on schedule. Students in this position, even more so than others, must arrive to work dressed professionally. Other general office duties may also be assigned.
