History
AFSCME, Local 2360 officially began a local on August 22, 1973. Local 2360 is part of AFSCME District Council 86 in New Columbia, Pennsylvania.
Council 86 encompasses the North Central part of the state to include Clinton, Columbia, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga, and Union, Counties. Their home office is located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Council 13. The Council 86 Director is Sharon Sober and the Council 86 Staff Rep is Michelle Rider.
Local 2360's membership includes clerical, custodial, maintenance/trades, information technology, and administrative assistants from Lock Haven University; as well as clerical employees from the Department of Welfare, Labor and Industry, DEP, PA Game Commission and PA Fish and Boat Commission, State Police Barracks and Department of Health.
