History
AFSCME Local 2360 was officially chartered on August 22, 1973. Local 2360 is part of District Council 86 whose home office is in New Columbia, Pennsylvania.
District Council 86 encompasses the North Central part of the state to include Clinton, Columbia, Juniata, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga, and Union Counties. Council 86 is a District Council under AFSCME Council 13, whose headquarters are located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The District Council 86 Director is Sharon Sober, and the Council 86 Staff Rep is Michelle Rider.
Local 2360's membership includes clerical, custodial, maintenance/trades, information technology, and administrative assistants from Lock Haven University; as well as clerical employees from the Department of Welfare, Labor and Industry, DEP, PA Game Commission and PA Fish and Boat Commission, State Police Barracks and Department of Health.
