A Few Hints About Creating Accents
Generating French accents requires using 3 or 4 keys. However, you cannot press all the keys at the same time. Practice the procedure described below, and soon you will be able to generate accents quickly and easily.
1. Press the CONTROL (CTRL) key.
2. While holding down the CTRL key, press the next 1 or 2 keys required and immediately lift your fingers from the keyboard.
3. Press the letter to be accented.
Note: Generating accents over upper case letters is a bit tricky. It usually works (but not always) to simply set the CAPS LOCK key, and then proceed as for lower case letters. Accents over upper case letters can be optional (depending upon country and authorities cited).
