Biography

Dr. Fisher received his MA and PhD in sociology from the New School for Social Research in New York in 2007, with a dissertation entitled "The spirit of Networks: Wired magazine and the Discourse on Technology in Post-Fordist Society”.

He also holds a BA in behavioral science and an MA in sociology from Ben-Gurion University in Israel.

 

Dr. Fisher is interested in the economic sociology of the information society and in the political culture of capitalism. Among his other interests are the sociology of information and media technology and critical social theory.
