Department chairs are requested to notify the
University promotions committee of the applications for promotion. |
Notifications should include the number of
applicants, names, rank sought by applicants, and their contact
information. Submit this information to
mhodge@lhup.edu and/or deliver to
Sloan 140. |

January 4, 2008 |
All dossiers/portfolios must be forwarded to the
office of the Promotions Committee Chair, Sloan 140 by not later than
4pm |
Portfolios/Dossiers should contain all information
EXCEPT 1) Department Chairperson evaluations & 2) Department committee
evaluations |

January 7, 2008 |
All Portfolios will be moved to a locked common
access area in Stevenson library to create access by the Deans as per
arbitration findings and new agreement |

February 1** |
The Department promotion committee shall send its
detailed recommendation(s) for each applicant directly to the UPC chair
no later than February 1. |

February 1** |
The Department Chairperson shall send
recommendations to the UPC chair no later than February 1. |
Department chairperson promotion recommendation
letters should be submitted to Melinda Hodge, UPC Chairperson, Sloan 140 |

February 2 through April 15 |
Committee review of materials, invitations for
promotions candidates to meet with the committee, committee discussions,
development of rankings, etc. |
Please note that candidates may present any
relevant new materials or information since the February 1 deadline
during their meeting, if they so choose. |

April 15** |
University Promotion Committee submits a complete,
ranked-in-group list of candidates together with all recommendations and
final promotion scores to the President |
|
* Please note the provision in the new guidelines is
consistent with the old guidelines which state that the dossier should be
submitted by November 1. There is also wording in the guidelines which states
“Recognize that this application gains additional components as it moves through
the process.”
** If this date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the
following Monday date is used.
