Honors Committee
The Honors Committee shall oversee and evaluate program operations of the Honors Program.
Composition:
Five members of the faculty shall be elected by the faculty for overlapping two-year terms. There will be one member from each of the three areas [humanities, social sciences and natural sciences] in Arts & Sciences and two members from Education & Human Services.
Some responsibilities of the Honors Committee:
- to consider and recommend to the Curriculum Committee changes in program policies
- to consider all syllabi for proposed Honors courses forwarded by departments and recommend to the appropriate college council.
- to work with the Director of the Honors Program in the recruitment and selection of faculty and specific course offerings, in the observation and evaluation of courses, in the recruitment and selection of students, in the planning of activities, and in the evaluation of the program.
