The Bachelor of Arts in Natural Science, Biology program is a comprehensive major which allows the student to choose a science concentration in addition to courses in related scientific areas.   As part of the General Education requirements, students are required to take three liberal arts seminars in the areas of the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Natural and Mathematical Sciences. These provide the context within which interrelational aspects of knowledge and experience are examined. Foreign language competency through level IV also is required.

Courses must be selected in not less than three of the five areas indicated below:*

     BIOLOGY
     CHEMISTRY
     EARTH AND SPACE SCIENCE
     MATHEMATICS
     PHYSICS

          *Science Courses designated as General Education will not fulfill these requirements

REQUIRED COURSES IN BIOLOGY (28 s.h.)

       With the advisor's approval students select 28 s.h. of biology majors courses
