ECOLOGY and ENVIRONMENTAL BIOLOGY

  grbr.gif (510 bytes)

This track emphasizes the study of interrelationships of organisms and their environment. It is intended for students with career goals in environmental fields such as resource management, fisheries and wildlife biology, public health, pollution abatement, conservation, environmental education and other related areas. Many of the students in this track pursue graduate studies in ecology, zoology, botany or environmental biology. Students who are interested in environmental aspects of biology are encouraged to minor in geology, chemistry or economics and communications.

The Ecology track provides a concentration in field-oriented studies and takes advantage of a great variety of relatively pristine habitats in rural central Pennsylvania.  As a member of the Marine Science Consortium, LHU students may take courses during the summer at Wallops Island Virginia.

If you would like a copy of the environmental biology brochure, you can download it from this site as an MS-WORD document and either view it on your computer or print it to keep as a hard copy.  To download click here.
