Faculty, staff, students and the community are invited to celebrate the University's history and achievements, as well as honor Albert Newton Raub, founder and first principal of the Central State Normal School, now known as Lock Haven University. The Founder's Day Convocation speaker is alumnus Dr. Keith Betts ('85), who has devoted his career to student advocacy. He has developed innovative student success programs while serving in leadership positions at George Washington University, Buena Vista University, Armstrong State University, and in his current position as Vice president of Student Affairs at Western Connecticut State University. His educational pursuits started at Lock Haven University, followed by study at Nottingham Trent University, where he grew up in Sherwood Forest, England.
