2013 Volleyball Camps

 

Individual Skills Camp  Designed for Girls Entering Grades 9-12
July 18-21, 2013

Campers will receive detailed instruction in every skill of the game. Morning sessions will be focused on the key concepts of serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking and digging, which will enable each athlete to raise their overall level of play. Afternoon sessions will allow each camper to receive more detailed instruction specific to a position of her choice. Evening sessions will be devoted to competition, allowing each camper to transfer their newly acquired skills to a competitive setting. Campers will be divided into groups based on experience and skill level.

  

Team Camp  Designed for Girls' Varsity and JV Teams
July 21-24, 2013

Coaches, bring your team and experience the advantages of team training and competition as you prepare for the start of your own season. Each team will be assigned 1-2 college coaches/players.  Morning sessions will focus on the key concepts of serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking and digging, which will enable each athlete to raise their overall level of play. Afternoon sessions will focus on o ffensive and defensive systems and team training. Your team will train together in the systems we run at Lock Haven University. Evening sessions will be devoted to competition. Each team will have a chance to play competitive drills and games against the other teams attending camp.

  

Junior High Camp  Designed for Girls Entering Grades 5-8
July 25-27, 2013

We o ffer these campers an opportunity to learn the basic fundamental skills and concepts of the game of volleyball. Instruction will be adapted to the younger age group and there will be fun activities included. All the skills will be covered - serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking and digging.  In addition, we will also cover  rotations and overlap rules, basic positions, team systems and competition.  More advanced training will be given to campers with previous volleyball experience.

 

Boys' Camp   Designed for Boys Entering Grades 9-12
July 27-29, 2013

Campers will receive detailed instruction in every skill of the game.  Morning sessions will be focused on the key concepts of serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking and digging, which will enable each athlete to raise their overall level of play.  Afternoon sessions will allow each camper to receive more detailed instruction specific to a position of his choice.  Evening sessions will be devoted to competition, allowing each camper to transfer their newly acquired skills to a competitive setting.
