Position Title: Fisheries Biologist Aide, Water Quality Unit
Agency/Location: PA Fish and Boat Commission, Benner Spring Water
Quality Lab, State College, PA
Responsibilities: This is a seasonal position from May 5,2008 through
August 22, 2008. This position assists laboratory personnel with water
quality analyses such as pH, CBOD-5, Total Suspended Solids, Ammonia
Nitrogen, and Phosphorus. Lab duties involve maintaining bench sheets,
preparing buffers and standards, and cleaning glassware. This position
is essentially lab oriented with some field work such as > collecting or
picking up water samples.
Qualification: The preferred candidate will have experience or college
level coursework in general biology, chemistry or fisheries and a valid
PA Driver's License. Math and computer skills are also desirable.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 37.5 hours/week. Some
overtime is possible.
Salary: $10.99/hour

FLS International Summer Camp Counselors FLS International seeks outgoing and responsible camp counselors to
lead international students in short-term summer tour programs in
June - August. Preferred qualifications include strong communication
skills, experience with customer service, leadership, working with
diverse cultures, working with youth programs or summer camps. Camp counselors are responsible for supervising group activities,
organizing program logistics, informing students about sights and
attractions, and interacting with students to facilitate English
language practice. Counselors must maintain a professional and
personable demeanor and have a strong customer service orientation.
FLS
International Resident Advisor
FLS International seeks Residence Advisors to oversee student
accommodations and supervise international students in summer
programs. Responsible for supervising student conduct and
accommodations, tracking housing assignments, supervising camp
counselors and camp activities, interacting with students to
facilitate English language practice and assisting with other
aspects of program operations. Candidates must have completed at least two years of college and
must have at least one year of experience in customer service,
working with young people, travel and tourism or a related field.
Preferred qualifications include supervisory experience, experience
working in housing, working with diverse cultures. Residence
Advisors will live on-site with students throughout the course of
the program. Programs run from June – August. RAs must maintain a professional and personable demeanor and have a
strong customer service orientation. RAs will have a great
opportunity to interact with a variety of international students.
