Accounting is the language of business: identifying, recording, and communicating the economic transactions of an organization to a variety of interested parties such as owners, shareholders, and taxing authorities. With this degree, you will be qualified to take the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam in Pennsylvania. This program focuses on decision modeling, risk analysis, and measurement and reporting of financial information. You will be exposed to the case study methodology in cost accounting, requiring you to structure results and communicate those results in a manner that adds value to products and to increase profitability. You will be required to complete an audit case, gaining hands-on experience with working paper and audit techniques. You will also be exposed to computerized accounting in Accounting Information Systems. Internships

BS Accounting/BS Business Administration You also have the opportunity to dual major in Accounting and Business Administration, earning a bachelor of science in both areas. This business core produces a well-rounded business person as well as an accountant and takes about one additional semester (5 classes) to complete. |
