A.S. Business Administration

This program will provide you with a broad overview of essential business management theory in the core areas of accounting, marketing, computer applications, and management. You will choose the management or management information systems track to gain more specialized business knowledge. You will explore courses in general education (27 credits) and in the major (36 credits) for a total degree requirement of 63 credits.
Management Track
This two-year program is designed to help you achieve a variety of educational objectives. If you are just entering the workforce, you will be well prepared for a variety of jobs in a broad range of industries and organizations such as office manager, accounting clerk, or administrative support. If you have already been working, you will be able to seek advancement in your present job with greater responsibility or find new employment in a wide variety of businesses and nonprofit organizations. This is also a step to further your education since your credits from the two-year program can be applied to your bachelor’s degree in Business Administration either at Clearfield or the Lock Haven University Campus.
Management Information Systems Track
Quick, easy and accurate access to information is vital in all facets of today’s business. Managing computer-based systems is a critical part of any organization. The Management Information Systems (MIS) Track of the Business Administration degree is designed to provide you with both the business skills and computer skills to solve today’s business problems. This two-year program will prepare you to enter the job market or to continue your education toward a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an MIS concentration at the Clearfield or the Lock Haven University Campus. Careers include web site support and database manager.
Facilities
All classrooms feature SmartBoard technology which interfaces PowerPoint presentations, the Internet and other learning software into the class. Also, computers are equipped with current industry standard software for student use.
Alpha Kappa Psi
A co-ed business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi is the oldest and largest professional business fraternity in the nation. With over 250 collegiate chapters and over 80 alumni chapters, AKPsi has inducted more than one million students into the national fraternity including Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, and Malcolm Forbes, Jr.
