The developing dance program presents dance as a fine art as well as a humanity. You will develop physically, creatively, scholastically, and professionally in a stimulating and exciting environment. Technique classes in Modern and Ballet are complemented with courses in Dance History, Composition, and Dance Education. You will have the opportunity to perform across the entire spectrum of the performing arts.

There are currently four student-run dance clubs: Dance Consort, Revamp Dance Crew, The Modern Dance Company, and the Hip-Hop Club.

Facilities

The program also now has a dedicated dance studio and the dancers perform in the 300-seat Sloan Fine Arts Center Theatre.

“The dance faculty show a sincere interest in each student's growth of mind,
body and soul.
The philosophies used within the classroom not only promote growth as strong technical dancers, but also encourage students to develop
creatively and explore their own movement invention.”
