Faculty

All psychology professors hold Ph.D. degrees. They have extensive college teaching experience and expertise in a broad spectrum of specialties in the field. Small classes are taught by professors, not graduate assistants, who will give you all the help you need to succeed. Our faculty collaborate with students to conduct research. Recent topics include sleep and the immune system, multitasking, perfectionism, and the acquisition of number concepts in squirrel monkeys. In addition, each year the faculty accompany students to the Eastern Psychological Association conference.

"Thank you for showing
such passion for the subject matter in our courses. I came to LHU thinking I would get my Bachelor's degree and then be done with schooling. But, your positive attitudes have without a doubt given me the motivation to pursue an even higher level of education.”

Kimberly Kaub

“The great thing about the psychology department is that it doesn't matter
whether you have a question about an assignment or just need a mentor to talk with, each member of the faculty has an open door policy. If
the door is open, just knock and go right in. This allows students to get to know who their professors really are and gives the personal one-on-one interaction that
a small university should provide for its students.”

Matt Bitten

“Teaching psychology at LHU has given me the opportunity to enlighten students about how relevant psychology is to everyone's life. I see psychology as an invaluable tool for personal growth and feel fortunate to be in this position to share my knowledge.”

Dr. Kevin Morrin

“I have been teaching for over 20 years and I continue to get a thrill when sharing new knowledge. Our emphasis on having smaller class sizes has allowed me to learn every
student's name.
I enjoy using that personal connection and my experiences to explore with students the many exciting findings that science has revealed about the human mind.”
