To install McAfee Antivirus software perform the following instructions:

1.  Go to the following web site http://www.lhup.edu/computing_and_tech/antivirus to download McAfee Antivirus software.  You will be prompted for a username and password.  Type in your NT Domain username and password and click on OK.

2.  When you get access to the web page it will look similar to the one shown below.  Click on the McAfee Antivirus link.




3.  This will bring up a window similar to the one shown below.  Click on the Save button.




4.  By default the program will be saved on your desktop with the name VirusScan.  Click on the Save button to put it in this locatoin.




5.  After the file is downloaded you should see a window similar to the one below.  Click on the Run button to start the installation of the program.  If this windows does not appear double click on the VirusScan icon on your desktop.






6.  Once the installation program starts you will see the window below.  Click on the Run button to continue the installation.




7.  Click on the Yes button when the window below pops up.




8.  Click on the Next button to start the installation wizard.




9.  Click on the Install button on the widow below.




10.  After you click on install the window below will come up and show you the progress of the process.




11.  The next step in the process you will automatically see the window shown below on your screen.




12.  The window below will come up next.




13.  Click on the Next button when the window below appears.




14.  Select the I accept.. option on the bottom of the window shown below and click on the OK button.




15.  Keep the default options for the setup type and click the Next button.




16.  Click the Install button on the "Ready to install" window.




17.  The window below will come up and show you the progress of the installation.




18.  Deselect the Run On-Demand Scan option on the window below and click on the Finish button.




19.  You may see the window shown below.  If so click on the OK button.




20.  Once the installation is done you should see a window similar to the one below.  Click on the Finish button and reboot your computer if it doesn't do it automatically.
