To remove your existing antivirus software perform the following steps:

1.  Click the Start button and select Control Panel.

 

2.   Double click the Add or Remove Programs icon in the Control Panel window.  If you don't see the Add or Remove programs switch the view for control panel to classic view by clicking on the Switch to Classic View option in the upper right portion of the Control Panel window.






3.   Select the antivirus software from the list and click the Change/Remove button and follow the uninstall process for your software.

4.   After you uninstall your antivirus software you may have to reboot your computer.  Immediately after you uninstall your AV software and reboot make sure you install McAfee AV software so your computer is not vulnerable to virus activity
