Instructions on how to install the Cisco Clean Access Agent on a Windows computer

Description:
The Clean Access Agent is required to be installed on all Windows Vista, 2000 and XP Residence Hall computers in order to gain internet access.

1.  When you first attempt to go to a web site before having the CCA agent installed you will be redirected to the web site shown in the window below.


2.  You may see the security alert windows shown below depending on how your browser is setup.




3.  You should then see the window shown below.  If it doesn't automatically appear click on the link in browser which looks like the one above.  Click on the Yes button to continue the installation process.




4.  You should then see the CCA Authentication window shown in the window below.




5.  Type your LHU NT domain username and password in the input boxes as shown below then click on the Continue button.




6.  The window shown below should appear.  Click on the Download Clean Access Agent button.




7.  Again, you may see the pop up window shown below depending on your browser security settings.  If it appears click on the Yes button.




8.  Click on the Save button when the window shown below appears.




9.  Click on the Save button when the "Save As" window below appears.  The default location to save the file is on your desktop.




10.  When the file is downloading you will see a progress window shown below.  When the file download is complete click on the Run button.




11.  In the "Security Warning" window click on the Run button.




12.  Once the program starts installing you will see a status window similar to the one below.




13.  Click on the Next button when the "InstallShield Wizard" window appears.




14.  Click on the Next button to take the default settings for the destination folder.




15.  Click on the Install button to actually begin the installation process.




16.  During the install process you will see the status windows shown below.




17.  Once the program has been install click on the Finish button.




18.  Once the program has finished installing you should see a window similar to the one below appear on the screen.




19.  Type your LHU NT domain username and password in the appropriate boxes then click on the Login button.




20.  Click on the Yes button if the "Security Alert" window below appears on your screen.




21.  Click on the Continue button in the temporary access window.




21.  If you computer does not meet the current security/update requirements you will see the following window which will provide you network access for 30 minutes and give you access to locations needed to download updates for your operating system and Antivirus software.  Click on the Go To Link button to get details on how to fix your computer to meet the requirement it failed.  Depending on what you computer is lacking you may see several of these windows and have multiple steps to complete before getting network access.  You may also have to reboot your computer multiple times during the process for updates to take effect so you can move to the next step in the process.




22.  Once your computer has passed all the checks and is able to connect to the network you will see the window shown below.  Click on the OK button.  Now you have network/internet access.
