Introduction to library resources used in chemical research (e.g. handbooks, reviews, monographs, compendiums and abstracts). Emphasis on the development of systematic search strategies and information retrieval from library resources. Instruction in the hands-on use of computerized scientific databases. Course is highly recommended for chemistry majors prior to the performance of independent research.  Prerequisite: CHEM221.
