Major topics in descriptive and theoretical inorganic chemistry. Both the classical and modern aspects of the chemistry of the elements will be discussed. The laboratory component emphasizes advanced experimental techniques in the synthesis and characterization of inorganic compounds.  Prerequisite: CHEM320 or permission of the instructor.
