A Full Professor of Graduate Studies, I specialize in Medieval Literature and teache interdisciplinary studies in the Master of Liberal Arts Program at Lock Haven University, also serving as Director of the program. I received my Ph.D. from the Claremont Graduate University in California and B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of California in Santa Barbara, where I also obtained Secondary Education teaching credentials in both English and History. Also, as the Director of the Linda J. Emanuel Teaching Learning Center at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, I am responsible for coordinating teams of faculty who organize professional development activities. These activities include presentations by outside speakers on current topics of interest, workshops on best practices in teaching and learning, workshops on integration of classroom technologies in the teaching and learning process, providing travel grants, and other ongoing projects. In this capacity, I have also conducted many workshops on classroom teaching strategies and the use of multi-media technologies in the classroom.
