|ENGL602 Topics in Adolescent
During the academic year 2000-2001, I decided to develop one of my most successful classes, ENGL235 Adolescent Literature, into a web-based graduate course, ENGL602 Topics in Adolescent Literature. After receiving the University Curriculum Committee's permission to teach the course, I worked to adapt the course to the eCollege software package for delivery.
As the following report attests, the course was both laborious and productive, a sometimes successful combination.
I subsequently taught the course again in the summer of 2002 with equal success.
eCollege Course Companion Shells
Beginning in the fall of 2002, I began using eCollege online services to provide supplemental learning activities in my courses. Starting with ENGL110 Dimensions of Literature, I have begun to develop these supplements with ENGL100 Composition in the fall of 2002, with plans to use this format in the spring of 2003 in my EDUC206 and EDUC312 English Methods I and II classes.
