What are the minimum requirements to transfer to LHU?
Students must have a minimum of 24 transferable credits and a 2.0 cumulative GPA to be considered for admission (select majors require a higher GPA). For students who have fewer than 24 transferable credits, we will review the student's high school transcript in combination with the college credits that they have earned.
What if I have fewer than 24 transferable credits?
We will closely review your high school transcript and SAT scores in conjunction with the college coursework that you have completed.
Will my credits transfer?
If the credits are earned at a regionally accredited institution and a grade of “C” or higher is earned they will most likely transfer. Please note that remedial courses do not transfer, regardless of grade earned. Please refer to the "Transfer Credits" section of our website.
Are transfer students required to live on campus?
No. Students wishing for a community living experience may wish to consider living in Foundation Village, an off-campus apartment complex which is adjecent to the academic complex or explore other local possibilities.
What about financial aid for transfer students?
Visit the Financial Aid Office's webpage for detailed instructions.
When will I receive a schedule?
All first time LHU students, including transfer students, will have a schedule completed for them by the Clearfield Campus Office . When designing a schedule, the Assistant Director of Clearfield Campus will consider your transfer credits, courses required for your major and courses with availability to select your schedule. You will be able to drop/add the first week of classes without penalty. Please note that your schedule will not be assigned until you are accepted and pay the $200 enrollment deposit.
