Associate of Applied Science Degree in Healthcare Professions (Brochure)
The Associate of Applied Science in Healthcare Professions program is a flexible design, which can prepare students with a healthcare background to have a better understanding of the healthcare system in America, to be better prepared to meet changes in the healthcare system in American society and to gain a fundamental understanding of the process of setting and accomplishing goals through the use of appropriate resources.
This degree is designed to enable people who hold a certification in a health related field (EMT, Phlebotomist, Surgical Technologist, Radiology Technologist, etc.) but lack an academic degree, an opportunity to complete an associate degree. Completion of this major and earning an associate of applied science degree could help individuals advance within an organization, create more job related opportunities and options, or give an advantage when competing for a job or a promotion.
If a student does not hold a certification, an associate degree could be earned by completing 61 total credits including 30 general education credits. The associate degree provides students with an overall understanding of healthcare concepts.

This two year program will prepare students for careers in law enforcement, corrections and government. The program emphasizes critical thinking, creative problem solving, ethical decision-making and support for an understanding of constitutional protections for the people of the United States. Students will receive a comprehensive understanding based upon courses in law enforcement, corrections, social problems, juvenile delinquency, and racial and ethnic studies.
Additionally, students desiring to continue their education will find the two year program is an easy transition into the baccalaureate degree at the LHU main campus where one can continue on in their studies without the loss of credits.
Associate of Science in Management (Brochure)
Students are able to attend either full-time or part-time while taking both day and evening courses. The program is made up of traditional and non-traditional students. All coursework can be applied towards the Bachelors degree in Management offered at Clearfield campus or at the main campus of Lock Haven University. Students completing the A.A.S. in Management will be better prepared for entrepreneurial endeavors, office promotions in their current careers, or additional management opportunities.
Associate of Science Degree in Management Information Systems (Brochure)
This degree provides students with an opportunity to acquire both business management and computer application knowledge and skills. Graduates of this program will be prepared for jobs in business fields which require the application of computer based information systems. All credits apply towards the Bachelor of Science degree in MIS offered at the Clearfield Campus or main campus of Lock Haven University.
Associate of Science in Nursing (Brochure) (Nursing Department Website)
Students are instructed in the theory and clinical aspects of patient care and are prepared to sit for their RN licensure exam following successful completion of the program. Several hospitals and agencies are utilized in order to provide a variety of clinical experiences for our students. Advanced placement is also available for eligible L.P.N.s. This demanding but highly rewarding program requires pre-requisite courses and excellent people skills.
