Criminal Justice Advisory Committee
Unique to the Criminal Justice Program at Lock Haven University is a multi-disciplinary criminal justice advisory committee composed of various working professionals, leaders and alumni from the field. The Criminal Justice Advisory Committee was formally constituted for the purpose of informing curriculum development and assuring rigor, validity and currency in our course offerings in the preparatory of skilled and competent graduates from our program. We believe an important component of assuring the quality and integrity of our curriculum is maintaining strong, vibrant, collegial relationships with our professional peers through this advisory committee.
Lock Haven Criminal Justice faculty collectively believes that the opportunity to regularly discuss curricular offerings with and receive input from contemporary practitioners and leaders in the various criminal justice fields strengthens our program. It also helps us to prepare our students for competitive post-graduation application to entry level positions in the many professional disciplines within the criminal justice field.
The Criminal Justice Advisory Committee to the Criminal Justice Program at Lock Haven University was conceived and convened by program faculty during 2012 and the first meeting was held in fall semester 2013.
