Cellular and Organismal Biology includes topics ranging from the structure and function of cells to physiology of living organisms to the evolution of biological diversity. This track emphasizes laboratory studies where students are provided opportunities for hands-on experience in molecular biology, microbiology, forensics, genetics, and physiology.

Careers in Cellular and Organismal Biology:

Students completing a degree in the Cellular and Organismal Biology Track are well prepared for entering medical or veterinary programs as well as other health related programs. These students may also enter directly into professional careers working in the areas of human biology, molecular and microbiology, organismal biology or physiology.

Student Research:

Students within the Cellular and Organismal Biology Track also have opportunities to work one-on-one with faculty members through independent study to further develop skills in microbiology, evolutionary biology, and development.
