The Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry is a certified program of the American Chemical Society. The degree is designed to prepare students for work as chemists in industry, government, technical sales, research institutes, and for graduate study in the various disciplines of Chemistry. As all LHU students, students majoring in Chemistry are required to complete the general education program of the University. BS Chemistry with concentration in Secondary Education
The Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Secondary Education (B.S. Ed.) is designed to prepare students for science teaching certification in grades 7-12. Students complete a majority of the available chemistry courses in the curriculum, as well as the necessary education courses required for certification.
