Students majoring in another area can elect to declare an academic minor in Chemistry. This program serves to enrich the scientific background of students not majoring in Chemistry. Students electing to minor in Chemistry are required to complete 16 credits of chemistry at the 100 and 200 levels and 8 credits of advanced work at the 300 or 400 levels.
