Connecting with a Macintosh
| Macintosh running System 7.0 or higher | |
| Macintosh compatible Modem and Software |
Once your modem is setup and installed (see your modem instructions for this), you can give your modem a try. Dial 893-8637 for students and 748-1585 for eagle account users (faculty, staff, and guests). This is all you need if you want to dial into Lock Haven University's system to check your e-mail. If you get connected, your modem is setup and running correctly. If you do not get logged in, you need to go back through the modem install or contact the manufacturer of the modem to correct it. Do not continue until this section is working. You DO NOT need anything else, unless you want to explore the internet. DO NOT try and use the PPP Connection portion of the text mode dialup, it DOES NOT work for the Macintoshes. If you would like to use some type of internet explorer application (such as Netscape) you will need to continue.

Give your file whatever name you would like, but if you need assistance, all information and names in this document will be used.
