This Topics in Mathematics course will be taught through MyMathLab. Once your MyMathLab account is set up, you will not need to go into D2L for anything.
Prior to the Start of Class Before the class begins, you should purchase your class textbook which includes the MyMathLab Access Code. You can purchase a hardcopy of the book and the MyMathLab access code through the bookstore for about $150.
*** Or you can purchase an ecopy of the textbook with the MyMathLab access code, directly from MyMathLab for about $85.80. This is what most students choose to do.
To purchase the etextbook and the MyMathLab access code directly from MyMathLab
:
1. Go to
http://www.pearsonmylabandmastering.com

2. Under Register, and click on the
Student
button.
3. Enter the Instructor's ID:
burkett09958
and click Continue
.
4. Create a Pearson account. If you have already taken a MyMathLab course with another professor then you may already have a Pearson account, and so just login. If you do not have a Pearson account, click
Create. Write down your new Pearson username and password to help you remember them.
5. Select an option to access your instructor's online course:
- Use the access code that came with your textbook or that you purchased separately from the bookstore.
- Buy access using a credit card or Paypal.
6. Click Go To Your Course on the Confirmation page. Under MyLab/Mastering New Design on the left, click MATH107 Basic Statistics Winter Session '12-'13 to start your work.

From that point on, you will no longer need to go into D2L, rather you will login daily to http://www.pearsonmylabandmastering.com to access the course.
