2005-06 LHU Athletics Community Service Projects

   

The LHU Women's Soccer team collected 77 pairs of shoes in their
"Soles for Souls" project. The Lady Eagles plan to donate the shoes to the Nicaragua Mission Project.

The LHU Football Team Held a Food Drive in early December to Benefit
the Salvation Army. Several members

The Lock Haven University
men's cross country team welcomed
Cub Scout Pack #30 to a
Lady Eagle Volleyball match,
helping them cheer on the Haven.

   

The Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania men’s and women’s track and field teams donated the proceeds of their annual sneaker sale to local cancer patient Kaitlyn Sechrist and her family.  Haven track and field representatives Brianna Palazzi, Tim Hite, and Keith Veldhuis made a visit to the home of Kaitlyn, her sister Cassandra, and their parents with the donation and a few other goodies from several campus organizations.

The Women's Swim team collected
donations during the Haven's football
game on Saturday, September 17.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Andy Waeger, the women collected $800 for
victims of Hurricane Katrina.
The Track and Field teams assisted in the annual Homecoming 5K and also made a few new friends while helping out with the Kids Fun Run.
