About the Foundation

  • The LHU Foundation’s assets total more than $34 million

  • Endowment increased from $0.5 million in 1990 to approximately
    $7.4 million at the end of the 2008 fiscal year

  • Approximately 82% of the endowment is earmarked for scholarships

  • The LHU Foundation administers more than 190 individually named scholarships

  • Private giving for the 2008-09 fiscal year totaled $2.47 million

  • In 2008-2009 $1,244,749 was awarded for academic and athletic scholarships, impacting more than 565 students

  • Since 1996, the Foundation has topped the $1 million mark for gift-giving for 13 consecutive years

  • MTB Investment Advisors manages LHU Foundation investments

  • Major LHU Foundation projects in support of Lock Haven University include  scholarships, academic programs, capital projects, and alumni activities such as:

Lock Haven University Foundation Housing Facilities


Evergreen Commons, Lock Haven University (main campus)

Evergreen Commons is an apartment style student housing complex, conveniently located a block from Lock Haven University and downtown
Lock Haven--close to friends and classes.

The facility boasts fully furnished, air conditioned apartment with high-speed internet, phone and cable connection and a full-size washer and dryer. Individual bedrooms have roomy closets and kitchens are equipped with modern appliances.

The resident lounge has plenty to do--large screen TV, pool table, spacious meeting rooms and a 24-hour computer lab and fitness center. Plus...a heated outdoor swimming pool with two gas grills and plenty of lounge furniture
and ample resident parking and an ATM.
