Math Group Project

This assignment will give you practice in team teaching.

In groups of two, you will present a math lesson for a given grade level.  Typically, a math class can last anywhere from 30 – 50 minutes.  You will need to teach for a minimum of 30 minutes.

 During this time you should:

§         Present a “new” concept to the class through direct teaching

§         Provide an opportunity to practice the newly learned concept

§         Assess the class on how well the concept was learned

§         Write a lesson plan.

Please consider information from the articles that you read, from your texts, and from class discussions.  Hands-on, problem-solving lessons are highly encouraged.
